Nokia have launched their new Lumia 720 Windows 8 phone which is due to hit stores in April, and it has been revealed that O2 are amongst one of the provider for this little handset which will be available in black and red, the red handset will be an O2 exclusive. There is no word from O2 yet on pricing but it is lead to believe it will be available on come-and-get-me contracts.

The Nokia Lumia 720 is the slimmest Lumia smartphone to date, measuring only 9mm in width. It features a 4.3 IPS display which has the same ultra-responsive screen as the Lumia 520 letting you use fingernails or wear gloves whilst scrolling. Nokia have supplied you with a dual core Snapdragon™ S4 1GHz processor, 512MB of RAM, Bluetooth 3.0, NFC connectivity, a 2000 mAh battery which you can also charge wirelessly by attaching a wireless charging cover, and has an internal storage of 8 MB which can be upped to 64 MB via the microSD card slot and with Microsoft SkyDrive you can get an extra 7GB of storage space which is great for syncing all your Microsoft Office apps and info, perfect if you can’t get to the office.

In the Lumia 720, Nokia have kept to their lovable favourites, the Carl Zeiss camera optics giving you a 6.7 megapixel rear camera with auto-focus and LED flash, combined with the Smart Shoot feature which allows you to combine multiple photos and now has an Erase feature which allows you to remove unwanted elements from the photo, you’ll end up with the perfect picture every time you can also shoot movies with 720p HD recording at 30fps. Not only does it have a rear camera but the Lumia 720 has a HD 1.3 megapixel front camera with a wide-angle lens that’s great for squeezing all your mates into one shot, and is great for Skype. You can have loads of fun with the exclusive digital lenses like Glam Me for example, which allows you to alter and make crazy pictures of yourself.

Lumia 720 with Windows 8 keeps you up to date with all the latest news and features, with Live Tiles you can get live feed from all your favourite social networking sites straight to your home screen, you can keep the kids safely entertained with Kid's Corner, use your phone as a satnav with HERE Drive and much, much more.
